You will be operating from a Detox Center, where you will interact with patients seeking recovery support. Although the position involves remote work, you will have access to advanced therapeutic resources and continuous support from a dedicated team of professionals. Regular business hours are expected, with occasional evening availability required during peak periods.

• Conduct thorough assessments and screenings to evaluate the mental health needs of individuals entering the Detox Center, ensuring accurate diagnosis and effective treatment planning.
• Provide short-term individual counseling and crisis intervention services tailored for patients confronting challenges related to substance use and co-occurring disorders.
• Facilitate dynamic therapy groups and workshops focusing on strategies for recovery, coping skills, and personal development.
• Collaborate closely with medical teams, case managers, and community organizations to coordinate comprehensive care, ensuring continuity between mental health and medical services.
• Engage in outreach initiatives aimed at enhancing community mental health awareness, such as educational seminars and wellness events.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, adhering to all ethical and legal guidelines, while utilizing our electronic health record (EHR) system for documentation.

As a counselor at Tranquil Haven Counseling, you will work primarily with individuals who are undergoing detox and recovery from substance use disorders. You will address a wide range of mental health issues that often accompany addiction, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and interpersonal challenges. Your role will be crucial in providing empathy and support during a vital time in their recovery journey.

• Current state license as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) or equivalent, allowing for independent clinical practice.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field, with a preference for candidates holding a Master's degree.
• Demonstrated understanding of the mental health challenges commonly faced by patients in a detox setting, including substance use and dual diagnoses.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective engagement with patients and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
• Knowledge of evidence-based therapies and brief intervention models suitable for high-acuity cases in a detox environment.
• Adept at managing a diverse caseload and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment.

• A minimum of three years of clinical experience in a mental health setting, preferably with a focus on substance use disorders.
• Experience in a detox or addiction recovery center, increasing familiarity with specific patient needs and treatment methodologies.
• Proven track record in developing and facilitating group therapy sessions tailored to diverse patient demographics.
