Job Summary - Correctional Health
The Registered Pharmacy Technician prepares and dispenses prescribed medications under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. The role ensures excellence in patient care, safety, and satisfaction while adhering to all state, federal, organizational, and departmental regulations and guidelines.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
  • High School Diploma or GED
Licensure & Certification:
  • Registered with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy and in good standing
  • IV Certification preferred
Work Experience:
  • Up to one (1) year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician preferred
Communication Skills:
  • Above Average Verbal Communication (Heavy Public Contact)
Proficiencies:
  • Personal Computer
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
  • Mathematics
  • Medical Terminology
Work Schedule:
  • Weekends, Holidays, Flexible, Overtime, Travel
