Garden Center General SummaryOur garden center is open from late spring to early summer. If you enjoy caring for plants, giving gardening advice, find yourself looking at your neighbor's gardens and others you drive by, then perhaps you should consider a seasonal job in our garden center. We are looking for sales associates to help care for our plants and sales support for customers in the garden center.

Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesDemonstrate excellent customer servicePossess a friendly outgoing demeanor; work well with other associatesInterest for gardeningMaintain the health of plants by watering, rotating, deadheading, fertilizing, etc. Support the maintenance of a clean and clutter-free garden centerAvailable with a flexible schedule depending on the weather, approximately end of April through early JulyAble to lift a minimum of 20 lbsAble to work in a variety of temperatures and weather and stand on your feet 6-9 hoursMay include cashiering dutiesEnsure all garden center pages and phone calls are answered promptly and courteouslyAttend a pre-season meeting, date TBDProvide a positive representation of Kortendick Hardware, Inc.Be professional in appearance and actionsPerform other miscellaneous duties as assignedSchedule:Part-time4-8 hour shiftsThe garden center is open 7 days a weekDay shifts, night shifts, weekendsHolidays.
