About the role:
  • The Program Manager is responsible for coordinating complex customer-facing programs and internal IRAD initiatives from concept through deployment, partnering with government customers and cross functional teams to deliver innovative communications solutions that drive mission success and support goTenna's long-term product strategy. This is both a strategic and a tactical role which requires a close partnership with technology developers, product, business stakeholders, executive management, and others. The Program Manager will have strong collaboration, communication, leadership, planning and execution skills. Preparing and delivering executive presentations, generating and delivering reports, identifying and measuring KPIs, and running effective and useful meetings will be key components of the job. This role reports to the Vice President of Program Management.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Work directly with peers and goTenna's government customers to lead and execute strategic development and integration of goTenna off-grid networking technology to drive mission impact.
  • Develop, track, and analyze detailed work plans, schedules, estimates, resource plans, and status reports.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams through planning, execution, risk management, and customer engagement.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards for program deliverables and to government contract requirements.
  • Coordinate meetings, test events, and demonstrations to showcase technical capabilities to customer audiences.
  • Lead contractual agreement drafting with partners and vendors related to program delivery.
  • Manage the integration of vendor tasks and track and review vendor deliverables.
  • Identify program risks, develop mitigation strategies, and proactively communicate impacts to stakeholders.
  • Develop and communicate multiple program roadmaps internally and diligently update internal data systems.
  • Effectively communicate in-flight and planned programs with metrics, KPIs, risks, dependencies, obstacles, and mitigation plans.

Required Experience:
  • Five (5) + years of technical program management experience background; working with contracts and contract language a plus.
  • Experience supporting DoD, DHS, CBP, Air Force, SOCOM, and/or other local, state, or Federal Government agencies.
  • Experience managing government programs and developing and strengthening key customer relationships.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment across large organizations and negotiating tradeoffs.
  • Experience in core program management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, resources, quality and risk management.
  • Excellent communication skills, including oral, written and presentation.

Preferred Experience:
  • PMP Certification
  • Technical experience related to hardware and software development, networking, or wireless communications
  • Experience working for a product development company
  • Experience working in agile/SCRUM environments
  • Experience with modern project management and collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence, MS Planner, Salesforce, or equivalent).
