Position Summary

Are you passionate about customer service, color matching, and leading a team? Hahn Ace Hardware is looking for a Full-Time Paint Department Manager in Mequon to lead one of the most important departments in our store!

The Paint Department Manager is responsible for overseeing all daily operations of the paint department, delivering outstanding customer service, driving sales, maintaining inventory accuracy, and creating an organized, well-merchandised department. This role requires strong leadership, product knowledge, and a hands-on approach to helping customers complete their projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all aspects of the paint department
  • Provide exceptional customer service and project-solving assistance
  • Mix and match paint colors accurately using paint systems and tinting equipment
  • Train and coach team members on product knowledge and service standards
  • Maintain in-stock conditions, ordering, and inventory control
  • Ensure department is clean, organized, signed, and merchandised to company standards
  • Drive sales through add-on selling and customer engagement
  • Build relationships with contractors, DIY customers, and repeat shoppers
  • Assist throughout the store as needed during busy periods
