FULL TIME (40 hrs/week) SALES ASSOCIATE:
As a Sales Associate at Cole Hardware, you'll do more than just work a register - you'll become a trusted resource for our customers. Whether helping someone find the perfect kitchen tool, stocking shelves with care, or making the store look fantastic, your goal is to create Positive Dinnertime Conversations-our way of saying we care deeply about people, products, and community.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Are you an expert on all things plumbing and electrical? Do you have a passion for power tools, or a fascination with fasteners? Maybe you have a background in construction, or you're an avid DIY-er. If you possess extensive knowledge of hardware-related products, AND a willingness to learn, we invite you to join our team!
The primary responsibilities of the Sales Associate position are to maintain outstanding customer service, demonstrate product knowledge, generate sales, merchandise products, and support the store management team. At Cole Hardware, we strive to create Positive Dinnertime Conversations with every interaction. We're looking for folks who always operate professionally, with enthusiasm & a smile and goodwill towards our customers and your coworkers.
Responsibilities:
-Ensure all customers receive outstanding service.
-Generate sales by answering questions, sharing product knowledge and advising on projects
-Stock shelves and merchandise incoming product when shipments are received
-Operate point of sales systems to complete transactions and special orders
-Maintain a well-stocked, well-organized department and back-stock area
-Uphold merchandising, inventory, and store cleanliness standards and procedures
-Provide in store services such as: key duplication, knife sharpening, wood & glass cutting, etc
-Execute the day-to-day goals and priorities assigned by store management
-Be responsive to safety issues & be conscious of shoplifting activity
-Other duties may be assigned as needed
Wage Starting at $20 per hour
Requirements/Qualifications:
Exceptional customer service skills
Retail or hardware product and project knowledge and experience a plus
Evening and weekend availability
Education/Training:
High School or GED equivalent.
Physical Demands:
Standing, walking, lifting/pushing/pulling (up to 40lbs), and climbing (ladders, stairs, etc.).
