Location โ€“ 100% onsite; Centennial Colorado
Direct Hire Position Pay Rate โ€“ $150,000 - $180,000
Work Schedule โ€“ Standard DOD hours- 40 hours per week.
Education and Certification Requirements โ€“
โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s degree in Mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
โ€ข CompTIA Security+ certification
Citizenship and Clearance Requirements โ€“
โ€ข U.S. Citizenship required
โ€ข No dual citizenship
โ€ข Active TS clearance required
โ€ข Active TS SCI clearance preferred Travel & Passport โ€ข 20% travel estimate

We are seeking a Senior Hardware / Production Engineer to support the development, integration, and production of the Minotaur Tactical Edge Node (TEN), a mission-critical edge computing platform used for real-time sensor fusion, ISR data processing, and tactical decision support. This role bridges hardware engineering and production, ensuring that ruggedized computing systems are designed, built, tested, and fielded to meet demanding operational environments across air, land, and maritime domains. This role directly supports the deployment of the Minotaur Tactical Edge Node, enabling real-time intelligence processing and decision-making at the tactical edge. Your work will enhance situational awareness and operational effectiveness for U.S. forces worldwide Hardware and Production Engineer Job Responsibilities:
โ€ข Lead transition of Minotaur TEN hardware from development to the next generation, small form factor
โ€ข Ensure compliance with Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Test (DFT), and Design for Reliability (DFR) principles for ruggedized edge systems
โ€ข Support design and integration of high-performance computer hardware (CPU/GPU systems, storage, networking, sensor interfaces)
โ€ข Develop production processes, test procedures, and acceptance criteria for deployed systems
โ€ข Troubleshoot hardware and system-level issues across lab, production, and fielded environments
โ€ข Perform root cause corrective action (RCCA) on failures identified during test or deployment
โ€ข Support environmental qualification (thermal, vibration, shock, EMI/EMC) for tactical deployments
โ€ข Manage configuration control, technical data packages (TDPs), and engineering change orders (ECOs)
โ€ข Collaborate with software, network, and ISR system teams to ensure hardware compatibility and performance
โ€ข Interface with DoD stakeholders, program offices, and operational users to support deployment readiness Hardware and Production Engineer Job Qualifications:
โ€ข 6โ€“10+ years of experience in hardware engineering, production engineering, or systems integration
โ€ข Experience with ruggedized computing systems or deployed tactical hardware
โ€ข Strong understanding of embedded systems, networking hardware, and high-performance computer platforms
โ€ข Experience with electronics manufacturing (PCB assembly, system integration, box build)
โ€ข Hands-on troubleshooting experience with lab and field equipment
โ€ข Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional engineering and production efforts
โ€ข Hardware-to-production transition for tactical systems
โ€ข Ruggedized system design & integration
โ€ข Production troubleshooting & RCCA
โ€ข System-level thinking (compute, network, sensors)
โ€ข Cross-functional leadership
โ€ข Data-driven manufacturing & reliability improvement Hardware and Production Engineer Preferred Skills and Experience:
โ€ข Experience with ISR systems, sensor integration, or tactical data links
โ€ข Familiarity with edge computing architectures and distributed systems
โ€ข Experience supporting deployment to austere or forward-operating environments
โ€ข Knowledge of automated test equipment (ATE) and system-level diagnostics
