Job description

Haden's Lawncare, LLC is seeking a Hardscape Landscape Crew Lead to oversee job execution and help deliver high-quality outdoor hardscape results for our customers in Churchville, VA.

Position Summary

The Hardscape Landscape Crew Lead is responsible for leading daily work on hardscape landscape projects, ensuring tasks are completed safely, accurately, and efficiently. You’ll guide crew members in the field, maintain strong jobsite organization, and help uphold the quality standards that our customers expect.

This role blends hands-on leadership with practical execution—coordinating workflow, monitoring progress, and supporting the team to complete projects on time while maintaining a clean, professional jobsite.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate hardscape landscape tasks on active job sites, including setting up, executing, and completing project components.

  • Supervise crew members to ensure work is performed according to project specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.

  • Manage daily workflow by organizing materials, tools, and staging needs to keep production moving efficiently.

  • Inspect work throughout the day to confirm proper installation, alignment, finish quality, and overall workmanship.

  • Maintain a clean, organized jobsite by ensuring proper tool handling, site cleanup, and materials accountability.

Required Qualifications
  • Ability to lead in a hands-on role and provide clear direction to others in a fast-paced outdoor environment.

  • Prior experience performing hardscape and/or landscape installation work (such as stone, paver, or related outdoor surfaces).

  • Strong understanding of jobsite safety practices and safe tool/vehicle handling.

  • Ability to read basic instructions and follow project plans or layout directions to ensure accurate results.

  • Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physical labor throughout the shift.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience supervising a small crew or serving as a lead on landscape/hardscape projects.

  • Experience coordinating day-to-day work, including materials staging and workflow prioritization.

  • Familiarity with common hardscape installation best practices and quality checks.

  • A strong track record of dependability, punctuality, and professional customer-focused teamwork

  • must be able to operate skid loaders and excavator or e willing to learn.

Compensation

Hourly rate: $18.00 - $25.00
