SJ Ward Landscapes is seeking an experienced Residential Landscape Foreman to lead residential landscape construction crews throughout Northern Colorado. This position is responsible for managing daily field production, leading crews, maintaining quality standards, coordinating with Project Managers, and ensuring projects stay productive, organized, and on schedule.
This is a hands-on leadership role. Foremen are expected to actively work alongside their crews while directing production, solving problems in the field, and maintaining a high standard of workmanship and professionalism.
SJ Ward Landscapes specializes in high-quality residential design-build landscape projects including irrigation, hardscape, grading, planting, drainage, outdoor living spaces, and full property transformations.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage residential landscape construction crews daily
  • Line out crew members and maintain production flow throughout the day
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards
  • Read and understand landscape plans, layouts, and project specifications
  • Coordinate materials, equipment, and project needs with Project Managers
  • Maintain jobsite organization, cleanliness, and professionalism
  • Communicate project progress, delays, and issues proactively
  • Train and develop crew members
  • Operate equipment when needed including skid steers and mini excavators
  • Ensure irrigation, grading, hardscape, planting, and installation work is completed correctly
  • Complete daily reports and communicate production updates
  • Maintain positive customer interactions on job sites
Requirements
  • MUST HAVE irrigation installation experience
  • Previous Foreman or crew leadership experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of residential landscape construction
  • Ability to manage crews and maintain production standards
  • Ability to read plans and follow project layouts
  • Valid U.S. drivers license required
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to operate landscape equipment safely
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
  • Hardscape installation experience
  • Equipment operation experience
  • Experience leading crews of 38+ people
