Job description

Want to help scale Earth's leading e-commerce finance team. The US Hardlines organization seeks a talented Senior Financial Analyst to help build and scale profitable customer fulfillment in one of our largest networks.

We are looking for an analytical, self-driven, and innovative leader who is able to distill complex problems into solutions that drive business insights and finance controllership.
The role is an opportunity to lead key workstreams and controllership processes as the US Non-Sort Leader for US Hardlines Finance. You will partner closely with cross-functional teams to perform analysis, create metrics, and develop forecasts/insights that drive strategic business decisions for senior stakeholders.

While this role is within the Hardlines org, the frameworks created will deliver impact across US stores translating into a high visibility and high impact position. The successful candidate in this role will have a self-starter and builder mindset, passion for diving deep into data and strong ability to influence without authority.
Key job responsibilities
- P&L ownership - analysis of the financial outputs, connecting them with the underlying input drivers and translating them into insights
- Drive core financial processes for the Everyday Essentials business including Annual Operating Plan, long range Strategic Plan and Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly Business Reviews
- Work with business leaders and cross-functional teams to present business results and statistical analysis and recommendations to senior management for decision making.
- Perform financial reporting, ad-hoc data analysis, and financial modeling using a broad range of tools including Excel, SQL, and COGNOS
- Conduct financial analysis and strategic planning in support of business groups

Use solid financial knowledge and business acumen to build financial models, interpret data, draw conclusions, and make recommendations that deliver results, drive improvements, and influence leaders throughout Amazon. These decisions can have global impact.
- Design scalable solutions that automate reporting of key performance metrics and analysis to achieve business goals.
- Create effective business partnerships, manages competing priorities, and provides guidance based on data analysis during unexpected events.
- Use active listening skills intuitively to communicate data (both written and verbal) in a clear, concise, and unambiguous manner. Adjusts style for various audiences to articulate complex finance issues clearly.
