Job description

Reports To: Crew Leader/Foreman

Status: Regular, Full Time, Exempt

Primary Function: Assist crew members in assigned tasks

Key Accountabilities:


  1. Productivity โ€“ 40%
    • Provide daily production on B. Frank Joy projects applying hard labor in all types of weather conditions.
    • Applying basic tool knowledge and blueprint reading ability, take direction from the foreman or crew leader and safely perform tasks such as sheeting and shoring, rough carpentry, forming, and run equipment as directed. Use planning and organizing skills to prepare for upcoming days, and take initiative when the foreman is not on the job site.
  1. Safety โ€“ 40%
    • Maintain safety as a top priority in everything you do and practice all safety policies
      • Keep current with safety standards (specifically OSHA 10) and assist with pedestrian and traffic control as assigned.
  1. Knowledgeโ€Share โ€“ 20%
    • Apply experience and company knowledge to assimilate new workers into their positions.
    • Work with skilled laborers to share knowledge.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS, & EXPERIENCE:
  • Educational and experience requirements include: High school degree or its equivalent or a combination of education and training experience
  • Two to three (2-3) years construction experience preferred
  • Must have a valid driverโ€™s license
  • Must be able to communicate with supervisor and coworkers
  • Must be a team player
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTION:

Must be able to perform physical activities such as, but not limited, lifting materials and equipment (up to 70 pounds unassisted), standing, climbing, walking, or using hands to operate/handle tools. Weight limits up to 300 lbs.
