Happy Smiles Family Dentistry is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team on a part-time basis. You will play a vital role in delivering outstanding oral care and education to our patients in a friendly, supportive environment. Dental hygienist

Job Description

Perform dental hygiene assessments and treatments, including prophylaxis and scaling
Administer local anesthetic in accordance with state regulations
Utilize laser technology for dental procedures (laser certification required)
Take and interpret dental X-rays and panoramic images (Panorex)
Use cavitron and other dental tools proficiently
Educate patients on oral health through intraoral photos, models, and personalized counseling
Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation
Collaborate with dentists and staff to optimize patient care and satisfaction

Salary Range

Part-time $40 - $50 per hour

- Competitive salary based on qualifications and experience.

Shift & Schedule

Tuesday: 7 AM – 5 PM
Wednesday: 9 AM – 5 PM
Thursday: 7 AM – 3 PM
Friday: 9 AM – 2 PM
Saturday, Sunday, and Monday: Closed

Requirements
  • Basic life support
  • Cardiopulmonary resuscitation
  • Licensed dental hygienist
  • X-ray / Radiography Certification

Active Registered Dental Hygienist license in the state of Illinois
Current CPR Certification
Laser certification
Proficient in taking dental X-rays and panoramic images
Skilled in patient treatment, anesthetic administration, and use of cavitron
Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferences

Experience with patient education and counseling
Familiarity with digital imaging technology
Ability to adapt to flexible scheduling
