Position: Sr. Product Manager – Viewing & Recording Appliances & Devices

Location: Carlsbad, CA or Remote - California, Nevada, Washington, Oregon (Pacific Time Zone)

Hanwha Vision America is seeking a Product Manager to lead the hardware related to our Recording Platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in VMS and COTS products, as well as a solid understanding of networking, throughput, and the related technologies that drive key specifications in recording devices (NVRs) and decoding devices (workstations, decoders).

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Coordinate Device & Appliance releases with your counterparts in South Korea
  • Based on market research, market demand and specifically Hanwha customer demand, collaborate with Korea HQ Product Management to release devices and appliances for the US Market
  • Flexibility to attend late-night meetings with stakeholders in South Korea, where you will participate in discussions, provide updates, and collaborate with cross-functional teams during hours that align with Korea time zone.
  • Act as escalation point for issues related to Devices & Appliances
  • Work closely with support, sales and FAE teams for feedback from the field and voice of customer
  • Manage pricing, price lists and bill of materials (BOM) for your products
  • Market Analysis: Conduct competitor analysis and stay updated on industry trends to inform product decisions.
  • Manage product launches including cross-functional requirements (marketing, tech pubs, website, etc) and integration with our tools such as DesignPro
  • Post-launch support to enhance product performance and customer satisfaction.


Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Linux and Windows OS is a requirement
  • Strong technical acumen with the ability to articulate complex solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences. 
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (Seoul, S. Korea region) as required up to 20%
  • A basic finance & math skillset is also needed to calculate business cases, profit, MSRP, etc.
  • Ability to collaborate across global cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality results.
