Job Description With nearly three decades of continuous growth and no signs of slowing down, Hansen & Adkins Auto Transport, Inc. Founded in 1994 by industry veterans Steve Hansen and Louie Adkins, the Company has grown from just 3 haulers to over 1,000 haulers, earning numerous industry awards along the way. H&A is currently serving 16 major auto manufacturers nationwide and in Canada.
The Fleet Manager role is responsible for the safe and profitable operations of drivers and equipment. They are specialists in communication who coordinate daily activities to provide extraordinary customer service on behalf of the company. This role is accountable for the driver's successful achievement of Operational, Quality and Risk goals set by the company.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate dispatch and equipment assignments for a respective group of drivers to ensure full productivity with accountability in adherence to the Maxx Dispatch philosophy.
Verify dispatch completion through driver check-in and identify priorities that may require reallocating resources as necessary and to ensure accurate customer reporting.
Manage driver compliance with all company policies and guidelines in accordance with all DOT Federal, State, and local regulations.
Manage driver hours worked, attendance and payroll workflow.
Support drivers with any delays or concerns at loading origins, unloading destinations or in transit to ensure completion of daily workload.
Monitor, communicate and correct driver behaviors to achieve terminal, company
and customer KPI's.
Collaborate with department heads, Customer Representatives and Vendors to
build relationships and achieve company KPI's.
Miscellaneous tasks relating to Operations, Safety and Quality as assigned by
Management.
Uphold the company's core values of Teamwork, Integrity, Respect, Excellence and
Safety. Job Requirements Qualifications:
2+ years operational experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
Comprehensive knowledge of DOT regulations preferred
Should be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and additional industry
software.
Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
Organized with the ability to handle a high volume of phone calls, incoming and
outgoing, in a fast-paced environment
Be available for work on weekends or holidays, as advised.
