Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Handyman role. The Handyman will perform a variety of general maintenance, repair, and minor improvement tasks in residential and small commercial properties โ€” including basic carpentry, painting, fixture installation, light plumbing, and light electrical work within approved limits. Responsibilities include assessing service requests, diagnosing issues, gathering materials, completing work efficiently, and cleaning up job sites upon completion. The role involves driving the company work van to customer locations, interacting with clients professionally, explaining work performed, and documenting tasks and materials used. The Handyman will follow safety guidelines, use tools and equipment properly, and may assist with estimates, scheduling, and occasional emergency calls as needed.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in general handyman work, including basic carpentry, drywall repair, and fixture installation
  • Working knowledge of light plumbing and light electrical repairs within residential settings, following applicable safety standards
  • Ability to diagnose common household maintenance issues, plan tasks, and prioritize multiple work orders efficiently
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, ladders, and other equipment safely and responsibly
  • Strong customer service skills, with clear, respectful communication and the ability to explain work to clients
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record (required to operate the company work van)
  • Must pass a background check
