Job description

Handyman / Cleaner
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Hourly - $18.00 M-F
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Clean warehouse floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and/or vacuuming.
  • Gather and empty trash.
  • Service, clean, and supply restrooms.
  • Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
  • Dust walls, machines, and equipment.
  • Operate Lift truck

• Monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created.
  • Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies, either manually or by using hand trucks.
  • Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
  • Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
  • Set up, arrange, and remove decorations, tables, chairs, ladders, and scaffolding to prepare facilities for events such as banquets and meetings.

The employee may be exposed to infectious waste, diseases, conditions, etc. including AIDS and Hepatitis B Virus. The noise level is usually moderate. Reviews will be conducted on a 90 day, 6 month and annual basis the first year of employment.
