Material Handler

We are currently seeking a dependable and safety-focused Material Handler for a steel manufacturing facility located in Bolingbrook, IL. This role involves manual handling of steel materials, requiring physical strength, accuracy, and basic mathematical skills to ensure materials are processed and staged correctly.

Location: Bolingbrook, IL Shift: 3PM-11:30PM OR 11:00 PM- 7:30AM (Must be able to train 1st & 2nd Shift) Pay Rate: $20.50/hour (Temp-to-Hire Incentives)

Key Responsibilities
  • Manually load, unload, move, and stage steel materials
  • Accurately measure, count, and verify materials using basic math skills
  • Read and follow work orders, packing slips, and inventory documents
  • Perform heavy lifting and repetitive physical tasks throughout the shift
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies
  • Support shipping, receiving, and production operations as needed
Qualifications
  • Previous warehouse, manufacturing, or steel industry experience preferred
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting (50+ lbs) on a regular basis
  • Basic mathematical skills required (counting, measuring, verifying quantities)
