Job Purpose
The Material Handler I is responsible for performing a variety of warehouse functions, including receiving, material handling, shipping, foam and cart production, and inventory control, in support of medical device manufacturing operations. This role ensures the accurate handling, storage, and movement of materials while maintaining compliance with applicable regulatory and quality standards.
Essential Functions and Basic Duties
๏ฟฝ Perform receiving, inspection, and verification of incoming materials in accordance with established procedures.
๏ฟฝ Accurately pick, stage, and ship materials to support production and work orders.
๏ฟฝ Support foam and cart production activities as needed.
๏ฟฝ Maintain accurate inventory through cycle counts, transactions, and system updates
๏ฟฝ Ensure proper material storage, identification, and traceability in compliance with quality standards
๏ฟฝ Complete and maintain documentation in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and company procedures.
๏ฟฝ Follow all applicable FDA, ISO, and internal quality system requirements.
๏ฟฝ Assist with general warehouse operations and cross-functional tasks as needed.
๏ฟฝ Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
๏ฟฝ Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Production, Quality, and Supply Chain and Customer Service.
๏ฟฝ Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes.
๏ฟฝ Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
๏ฟฝ High school diploma or equivalent experience required.
๏ฟฝ Minimum 2 years of warehouse or material handling experience, preferably in a regulated industry.
๏ฟฝ Experience working in a GMP and/or ISO- regulated environment preferred.
๏ฟฝ Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory or ERP systems.
๏ฟฝ Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures and standards.
๏ฟฝ Forklift certification (or ability to obtain) preferred.

Compensation
