Job description

Why this role matters

Be the steady hand behind a reliable bottling operation. In this position, you’ll keep our bottle filler, capper, decasing, and case packing systems running safely and efficiently to meet daily goals—supporting award‑winning quality and excellent customer service.

Schedule and compensation

5:20pm–5:30am on a 2-2-3 shift pattern. Approximately $24.00 per hour based on years of experience, with opportunity for growth.

Your primary responsibilities
  • Operate and monitor the bottle filler and capper; execute decasing and case packing operations.
  • Troubleshoot performance issues; complete changeovers to protect the production schedule; perform basic maintenance.
  • Perform quality checks and labeling verifications; complete all required documentation and maintain full inspection records.
  • Provide hands-on guidance to temporary employees regarding safety, quality standards, and operating practices.
Safety, quality, and compliance
  • Follow all safety requirements for the area; intervene to prevent unsafe work; report concerns, accidents, and near misses immediately; submit safety work orders when needed.
  • Participate actively in the plant Behavior Based safety program; support facility-wide safety inspections and accident investigations.
  • Maintain a clean, debris‑free workspace.
  • Meet daily production goals while adhering to safety, quality, food safety, and regulatory guidelines; consult WI’s and SOP’s as your standard reference.
  • Own and follow the SOPs for bottling line positions; incorporate daily inspections, lubrication, and equipment setup into your routine.
Continuous improvement and collaboration
  • Champion quality-driven improvements that raise performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Work to departmental KPI targets; follow SOPs and best practices to maximize bottling line quality and internal customer service.
  • Propose ideas that strengthen Boston Brands of Maine bottling processes; optimize resources for better quality inspections, labeling, and machine operation.
  • Communicate across departments to align on priorities; support financial goals by minimizing cost and waste without sacrificing product quality.
What success looks like
  • Reliable execution of case feeding, quality inspection, case packing, and labeling.
  • Consistent compliance with Company policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Accurate, complete documentation of all inspections and production records.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds without assistance.
