Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare items for shipment to customers by putting items in boxes or pallets and banding.
  2. Mark boxes of material with part numbers and job names.
  3. Move materials and items to shipping or to other designated areas.
  4. Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves or bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color or product code in shipping and receiving area.
  5. Ensures warehouse is accessible and safe for employee or customer traffic.
  6. Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves or relocating orders to a holding area or shipping department.
  7. Assist shipping and receiving, unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching packing lists.
  8. Organizes warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times.
  9. Keep an adequate supply of shipping materials on hand at all times.
  10. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Education: High school diploma or GED

Experience: 1-2 years of related experience preferred

Necessary Skills:

  • Strong organizational skills and detail oriented.
  • Computer knowledge as well as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook knowledge.
  • Customer focused.
  • Team oriented.

Other Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands, climb stairs, stoop, kneel, talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move 75 pounds. The employee is frequently exposed to a high noise level.
