Hand Modeling information

Is 25 too old to start modeling?

Hand modeling is a niche profession where age is less restrictive than in other modeling fields. Many successful hand models start in their 20s or later, and having well-maintained skin and nails can be more important than age. Experience, grooming, and a unique look often matter more than age in this specialty.

Are hand models in high demand?

Hand modeling is a niche profession with steady demand in advertising, fashion, and product photography, especially for jewelry, skincare, and hand care products. Opportunities can vary based on industry needs, and successful hand models often maintain well-groomed hands and may need to build a strong portfolio to attract clients.

What is a Hand Modeling job?

A hand modeling job involves using your hands to showcase products in advertisements, commercials, and editorial shoots. Hand models are often hired for their well-groomed, symmetrical hands and fingers. They may pose with jewelry, skincare products, or handle objects to highlight their features. Professional hand models must maintain their hands carefully and often work with photographers, directors, and brands. It is a specialized niche within the modeling industry that requires precision and attention to detail.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the Hand Modeling position, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Hand Model, you need well-groomed, symmetrical, and photogenic hands, along with an understanding of posing and hand care routines. Familiarity with photographic studios, posing aids, and sometimes specialized skincare products is beneficial, though no formal certifications are typically required. Patience, attention to detail, and the ability to take direction help hand models excel during long shoots and precise positioning. These skills ensure consistent professional presentation and maximize opportunities in advertising, fashion, and commercial work.

What exactly do hand models do?

Hand models are professionals who showcase hands and fingers in photographs or videos for advertising, product packaging, and media. They focus on maintaining well-groomed, healthy hands and often work with photographers, makeup artists, and clients to highlight products like jewelry, skincare, or accessories.

How much do hand models get paid?

Hand models typically earn between $100 and $1,000 per day, depending on experience, the type of assignment, and the usage rights. Rates can vary widely, with commercial work and high-profile campaigns paying more, and some models earning additional income through licensing and royalties.

What does a typical workday look like for a Hand Model?

A typical workday for a Hand Model often involves traveling to studios or on-location shoots, where you'll work closely with photographers, stylists, and product teams to showcase items like jewelry, cosmetics, or technology. You'll spend considerable time following exact instructions to position your hands for the best angles and lighting, with frequent attention paid to skincare and nail maintenance before and during shoots. Downtime can be spent waiting for setup changes, reviewing creative direction, or caring for your hands. Collaboration with creative professionals and adaptability to different shoot requirements are integral parts of the job, offering variety and the potential to work on high-profile campaigns.

OTT Financial Group

Job description

About OTT Pay

OTT PAY is a Canadian fintech company delivering modern, secure, and flexible payment solutions to merchants across North America. Our platform supports a wide range of payment methods - including credit and debit cards, mobile wallets, e-commerce, and emerging alternative payment networks - empowering businesses to accept payments seamlessly, in-store and online. We partner closely with Independent Sales Organizations (ISOs) and Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) to bring our solutions to more merchants, faster.

Position Summary

We are growing our ISO and ISV channel partnership program and looking for a driven, laser-focused Sales Development Representative (SDR) to lead top-of-funnel outreach to our target ISO and ISV partners across Canada. This is a strategic, channel-only role: you will not be selling directly to merchants. Instead, you will identify, qualify, and book meetings with decision-makers at ISOs and ISVs who can refer or embed OTT PAY's payment solutions into their portfolios and platforms.
This role is ideal for someone with prior fintech or payments exposure who understands how the ISO/ISV ecosystem works in Canada and is excited to help scale a high-impact partnership channel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own outbound prospecting into a defined list of target ISOs and ISVs across Canada, with a focus on referral partners, payment-adjacent SaaS platforms, and vertical-specific software vendors.
  • Research and map prospective partner organizations - identify economic buyers, technical decision-makers, and channel/BD leaders worth engaging.
  • Execute multi-channel outreach campaigns (cold calls, personalized email, LinkedIn, events) to generate qualified meetings for the Channel Sales team.
  • Qualify inbound and outbound partner leads against ICP criteria (merchant base, vertical fit, processing volume, integration model).
  • Book and prepare discovery meetings for Channel Account Executives and Partnership Directors, including pre-call briefs on partner background and opportunity size.
  • Maintain meticulous CRM hygiene - log activity, track pipeline, and forecast meeting and SQL targets weekly.
  • Partner with Marketing on targeted campaigns, partner webinars, and trade shows to drive top-of-funnel pipeline.
  • Stay current on the Canadian payments and ISO/ISV landscape - new entrants, M&A activity, technology trends, and competitor moves - and share insights with the broader team.
  • Consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly KPIs for outbound activity, qualified meetings booked, and pipeline contribution.

Required Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of SDR, BDR, or inside sales experience, ideally in fintech, payments, or B2B SaaS.
  • Demonstrated success prospecting into partnership, channel, or enterprise-style accounts (not pure SMB transactional sales).
  • Strong working knowledge of the Canadian payments ecosystem - ISOs, ISVs, acquirers, payment facilitators, gateways - or proven ability to ramp quickly on industry concepts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; comfortable presenting OTT PAY's value proposition to senior partner stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of consistently exceeding outbound activity and meeting-booked quotas.
  • Proficiency with CRM (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar) and modern sales engagement tools (e.g., Outreach, Salesloft, Apollo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator).
  • Self-starter who thrives in a quota-driven, fast-paced environment with minimal hand-holding.
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience working at an acquirer, payment processor, ISO, payment facilitator, or payments-focused ISV.
  • Existing network of contacts within the Canadian ISO/ISV community.
  • Bilingual (English/French) or fluency in Mandarin/Cantonese to support multicultural merchant verticals.
  • Familiarity with merchant onboarding, residuals, interchange, and revenue-share partnership models.

OTT Financial Group is committed to fostering an inclusive and accessible environment where all employees feel valued and respected, and where every employee can realize their potential. We are committed to providing reasonable accommodation, if required, and will work with you to meet your needs. We appreciate all applicants for their interest; however, only those candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.
