Job Title: IT Technology Services Senior Specialist

Location: Houston, TX

Purpose and Objective: 

SAP America, Inc. seeks an IT Technology Services Senior Specialist at our Houston, TX location to develop and provide systems, applications, products, and services to optimize/automate business processes, improve work efficiency and provide expert support in operations.

Expectations and Tasks:

Revise and update existing programs and provide required documentation. Facilitate the service lifecycle and product lifecycle. Act as a technology expert to execute technical feasibility studies/solution reviews. Define/review technical blueprint for internal IT projects. Customize and develop enhancements and implement solutions. Provide technical documentation. Execute and support problem management and continuous improvement. Participate in de-escalation activities. Contribute to the Build to Run engagement and to the definition of technical standards and frameworks.

Education and Occupational Experience:

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field of study and six (6) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation. Alternatively, a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field of study and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.

Qualifications/Skills and Competencies Experience:

Experience must include four (4) years involving each of the following:

  • Leveraging comprehensive experience with S/4HANA architecture, conversion, migration path, methodology and tools;
  • Understanding various SAP cloud solutions and integration scenarios of SAP systems with BTP, Ariba, and SuccessFactors;
  • Analyzing customer technical requirements and organizing/coordinating experts from cross Delivery team and driving those topics to resolution for customers;
  • Working with a detailed understanding of the customer landscape managed within ECS and understanding interdependencies between systems (both within ECS and beyond);
  • Owning customer landscape and advising on critical and complex landscape changes during life cycle management;
  • Analyzing ECC, S/4 HANA data footprint, including server downsizing and upsizing;
  • Designing and implementing SAP applications and Databases, with focus on High Availability and disaster recovery concepts;
  • SAP ECC, S/4 HANA, and SAP Netweaver; and
  • Cloud Administration - Hyperscaler using Azure, AWS, or GCP.

Travel: Position requires up to 20% domestic travel to various unanticipated customer sites to perform customer-facing tasks and implement SAP solutions.

Compensation Range Transparency: The annual base salary range for this position is $138,237 - $174,680. SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP's commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is $138,237 - $198,500. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
