Job description:
SUMMARY
Machine Operators for the butter department run high speed automated equipment and manage all aspects of the butter line. They verify usage of correct materials, ingredients & date codes and are responsible for ensuring that our products are produced in accordance with quality and safety standards. The machine operator will need to maintain a good attendance record and meet production standards while working on manufacturing equipment within a Food Manufacturing facility.
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
โ€ข Receiving/Put-Away: Unload inbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations. Efficiently stack and store the merchandise in the appropriate areas.
โ€ข Quality: Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage. Report quality variances to supervisor.
โ€ข Order Picking: Pull and prepare product for shipment, ensuring that the exact number and type of product is loaded and shipped. Perform picking duties in an efficient manner that meets customer service standards.
โ€ข Loading: Efficiently move product from staging and/or storage areas into rail cars or trailers. Equipment: Load, unload, move, stack, and stage product and materials using a forklift, clamp truck, or other power equipment. Use radio frequency equipment for picking, receiving, put away, and load functions, as required.
โ€ข Maintain the facility's equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion. On a daily basis, inspect and perform minor maintenance on the forklift or other equipment.
โ€ข Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods. Inventory: Keep appropriate records and reports to guarantee that tight inventory control and security are maintained. Assist in physical inventories. Ensure proper stock rotation.
โ€ข Safety, Sanitation, Security: Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area. Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse. Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety. Comply with OSHA and MSDS Standards.
โ€ข Review and enforce the Company's food safety, quality and regulatory standards.
โ€ข Works evenings and weekends as required.
โ€ข Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
To execute this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. โ€ข Education: HS Diploma or GED
โ€ข Minimum 2-4 years forklift driving and warehouse experience.
โ€ข Must be forklift certified or able to become certified within 30 days of hire.
โ€ข Knowledge of Inventory Management
โ€ข Experience in maintaining the facility's equipment and materials in a clean, neat, and orderly manner.
โ€ข Knowledge of OSHA and SDS Standards Good safety record on Forklift
