What are Hamilton Relay Services?

Hamilton Relay Services are a set of communication services that enable people who are deaf, hard of hearing, deaf-blind, or have difficulty speaking to communicate over the telephone. These services include relay calls with the help of a specially trained operator, captioned telephone services, and video relay services. Hamilton Relay acts as a bridge between people who use text telephones (TTY), voice, or other assistive devices and those on standard telephones. Their goal is to make telephone communication accessible and effective for everyone, regardless of hearing or speech ability.
