Job description

Overview: Hamilton Farms is seeking a Brand Ambassador to join our team. As a Brand Ambassador, you will be the face and voice of our cannabis brand. You will play a key role in building and maintaining relationships with customers, partners, and the broader community. This position is ideal for those with a background in marketing or communications who are eager to start their career in the rapidly growing cannabis industry.
We are a small business with a start-up environment, and it is vital that the individual is self-motivated and has a positive attitude. As an early member of our team, this individual will have the opportunity to take on additional responsibilities and help direct future marketing efforts.
Location: This is a field-based position that requires 80-90% of time traveling within all corners of New Jersey and the remainder of time as remote.
Compensation: $16-18/hr + Commission
Primary Responsibilities
  • Spread Hamilton Farms' brand awareness and drive sales through field marketing activations and customer engagement.
  • Ownership of Hamilton Farms' branded pop-ups and represent our brand at various events, both in-person and virtual, including trade shows, community events, and product launches.
  • Maintain high-level of product knowledge and clearly communicate product benefits to wholesale accounts customers.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create content for digital and print media, including blog posts, social media posts, and newsletters.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local businesses, influencers, and community organizations
  • Collect and analyze feedback from customers to improve our products and services.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities.
  • Growth Opportunity: Develop and execute creative marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness and engagement.
  • Growth Opportunity: Engage with customers on social media platforms, responding to inquiries and promoting our products.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school graduate
  • Basic cannabis knowledge with a passion for the plant and the industry
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to generate innovative ideas.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be based in or willing to relocate to Central Jersey.
  • Must be willing to travel within the State of New Jersey.
  • Must be able to obtain required state cannabis ID at time of hire and submit personal information for background check and fingerprinting.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Recent graduate or up to 1 year of experience in marketing, communications, or a similar role.
  • Experience in event planning or public speaking.
  • Proficient knowledge of cannabis products and industry regulations.

Note: This position will require working 40 hours per week including working nights, weekends, and some holidays.
