Position Overview
We are seeking friendly, reliable, and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Haunt Associates (Ticket Booth Cashiers) for our fall haunted attractions season. Each year during September and October, our cider mill transforms into a hub of thrilling, spine-chilling entertainment, hosting a variety of haunted experiences for guests of all ages. As a Haunt Associate, you will be the first friendly face guests meet - selling tickets, answering questions, and setting the tone for a great night.
This is a temporary, seasonal position ideal for individuals who enjoy guest service, are comfortable handling cash and card transactions, and want to be part of the excitement of the Halloween season.
Responsibilities and Duties
  • Greet guests and provide friendly, efficient service at the ticket booth
  • Accurately process ticket sales and guest transactions via cash, credit, or point-of-sale system
  • Verify and account for the cash drawer at the start and end of each shift
  • Explain attraction options, pricing, timing, and policies to guests
  • Manage line flow and communicate wait times to guests
  • Distribute wristbands, tickets, maps, or other guest materials as required
  • Address guest questions or concerns, escalating to a supervisor when necessary
  • Maintain a clean and organized ticket booth area
  • Communicate attraction closures, delays, or capacity limits to guests and staff
  • Follow all cash-handling and point-of-sale procedures

Education, Skills & Knowledge
  • Must be 16 years of age or older
  • Basic math skills and comfort handling cash and card transactions
  • Prior cashier, retail, or guest-service experience preferred
  • Friendly, outgoing, and guest-focused attitude
  • Comfortable using a point-of-sale system; basic computer skills
  • Ability to commit to the full September-October season, including all Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional - attendance is critical to our team's success
  • Ability to stand for extended periods in an outdoor ticket booth environment

Working Conditions
  • Work primarily outdoors in a ticket booth structure, exposed to varying fall weather conditions
  • Ability to stand for extended periods throughout each shift
  • Comfort handling cash and card transactions in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment
  • Occasional exposure to nighttime and low-light conditions

Availability Requirements
Candidates must be available to work every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evening throughout the entire September and October season. Shifts will run from early evening through late-night hours. Specific shift times will be communicated prior to the season start. Attendance at mandatory pre-season training (typically held in late August or early September) is also required.
