This position is non-benefit eligible and must work no more than 130 hours per calendar month.

Description:

The Part-Time Operational Specialist: Lookout Mountain Venues performs facility-based customer service projects and housekeeping duties for Boettcher Mansion and Lookout Mountain Nature Center. These venues are located inside the Lookout Mountain Nature Preserve at 900 Colorow Road, Golden, CO 80401. This position will be part-time and support the Mansion's and Nature Center's activities, meetings, and special events, which consist of weddings and receptions and other social gatherings.

SCHEDULE:

Please be aware that the schedule for this position will vary according to event calendar and will largely be scheduled around the set-up and break down of events. Typically, the position will report 3 days per week depending on the event schedule and time of year.It is important applicants are aware that schedule can vary week to week.Please note that Monday-Wednesday or Tuesday-Thursday are the schedules to choose from.

COMPENSATION:

Hiring Range: $20.00 - $21.00 USD Hourly

Compensation will be determined based on education, experience, and skills.

BENEFITS:

Please note that this is a part-time, temporary & non-benefit position. There is no holiday pay. Employees are able to earn 1 hour of sick leave for every 30 hours worked, up to 48 hours.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Perform routine facility activities, such as cleaning and sanitizing duties to include kitchens, restrooms, event spaces and exhibit hall.
  • Follow plans for building and event operations, including furniture set-up and breakdown.
  • Respond to urgent situations by determining necessary plan of action.
  • Determine supplies needed & utilizing available resources.
  • Keep exterior free of debris and water outdoor plants.
  • Snow removal from venues as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • HS Diploma or GEDand 1 year of experience in an administrative or customer-facing role.
  • Prior experience in high volume events/venues, custodial work, customer service, or hospitality.
  • Additional education or certification beyond high school.
  • The ideal candidate is someone who takes initiative, with a go-getter, can-do attitude.
  • Must be able to exert up to 50 lbs constantly and 50-100 lbs occasionally.
  • A flexible schedule that can adjust week to week for pre and post-event needs.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Outstanding time management skills.
  • Customer service/interpersonal skills.
