Hairdressing Apprentice information

How do you get an apprenticeship in hairdressing?

To get a hairdressing apprenticeship, you typically need to apply directly to salons or training providers that offer apprenticeships, meet minimum age and educational requirements, and demonstrate an interest in hairdressing skills. Completing relevant courses or gaining basic knowledge of hair care can improve your chances of securing an apprenticeship, which combines on-the-job training with classroom learning.

How much do hairdressing apprentices get paid?

Hairdressing apprentices typically earn between minimum wage and a percentage of a qualified stylist's pay, often starting around the national minimum wage and increasing with experience and skill level. Apprenticeship wages can vary depending on the region, employer, and whether the apprentice is in a formal training program or working towards certification.

Is a hairdressing apprenticeship worth it?
