Job Description

Company needs Architect with Big Data Technologies experience (BigTable, Hadoop/Hbase, Cassandra, etc), that can provide technical direction towards re-architecting the Data Model and Access Platform that will in turn create a reliable and scalable data platform that provides standard interfaces to queries and support analytics for security related sets.

For this position you must have a passion for Big Data technologies, and have an excellent understanding of Big Data Analytics platforms and ETL.  You will be the technical architect and point person for the data platform so you must have extensive experience with data implementations, data storage/distribution, and extensive experience with open source projects like Apache Hadoop or Cassandra.

    Qualifications

     Required:

    -15 years overall experience that includes:

     2+ years hands-on experience with Hadoop stack (MapReduce Programming paradigm, HBase, Pig, Hive Cassandra

    2+ years experience with administration, configuration management, monitoring, debugging, benchmarking and performance of Hadoop/Cassandra

    5+ years experience with open source software platforms and languages (Java, Linux, Apache, Perl/Python/PHP)

    A Plus:

    Experience with high-scale or distributed RDBMS (Teradata, Netezza, Greenplum, Aster Data, Vertica) wi

    Knowledge of cloud comuting infrastructure (Amazon Web services EC2, Elastic MapReduce) and considerations for scalable, distributed systems
