Job description

Job Summary:
Cardinal Integrated Technologies Inc is seeking a Hadoop/Cloudera Admin to support their production systems. The role involves monitoring and managing Hadoop clusters, ensuring data quality, and collaborating with various teams to maintain system performance and security.
Responsibilities:
• Provide 24x7 production system support
• Monitor Hadoop cluster connectivity and security
• Manage and review Hadoop log files.
• File system management and monitoring.
• HDFS support and maintenance.
• Collaborate with L3 on patch and bug fix deployment
• Diligently teaming with the infrastructure, network, database, application and business intelligence teams to guarantee high data quality and availability.
• Document and maintain work-instructions
• Complete audit required tasks
• Initiate, submit and implement change requests
• Log technical support tickets with vendor
• Backup, data recovery and service restoration management
• Collaborate with L3 on patch and bug fix deployment
• Identify and raise system capacity related issues (storage, licenses, performance threshold)
• Performance, capacity & utilization monitoring
Qualifications:
Required:
• 5+ years of experience in Hadoop and related technology stack
• Strong understanding of Hadoop design principals, cluster connectivity, security and the factors that affect distributed system performance
• Provide 24x7 production system support
• Monitor Hadoop cluster connectivity and security
• Manage and review Hadoop log files
• File system management and monitoring
• HDFS support and maintenance
• Collaborate with L3 on patch and bug fix deployment
• Diligently teaming with the infrastructure, network, database, application and business intelligence teams to guarantee high data quality and availability
