Job description

We’re looking for a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our Maintenance Division. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining our fleet of yellow iron and heavy construction equipment, including loaders, excavators, dozers, scrapers, haul trucks, and support vehicles.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on heavy equipment
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and inspections
  • Maintain accurate service records and communicate with supervisors on repair timelines
  • Operate equipment safely to test and verify repairs
  • Respond to field service calls as needed
  • Assist with shop organization and inventory of parts and supplies
  • Follow all company safety policies and OSHA standards

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience as a heavy equipment mechanic
  • Knowledge of hydraulic systems, electrical troubleshooting, and diagnostic software
  • Ability to work independently in both shop and field environments
  • Must have own tools and reliable transportation
  • CDL and/or welding experience preferred but not required
