Overview
The ADMS Modeling Engineer will be an essential part of our team to grow the consulting practice in the Operational Technology and Real-Time Systems domain.
Responsibilities
  • Perform modeling and display building tasks for Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS).
  • Perform Habitat and database modeling.
  • Provide occasional, as needed, support for the Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS) such as FLISR and OMS.
  • Develop and implement a geographic based connectivity model that includes engineering data in order to properly model power flow in the ADMS.
  • Develop and troubleshoot distribution models to improve Distribution Power Flow modeling as well as Bus Load Allocation.
  • Analyze fatals, errors and connectivity issues that occur during model build and work with source systems to fix any issues.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Capable of performing modeling and display building tasks for ADMS.
  • Experience and skills within the Alstom Grid/GE Habitat and database modeling environment, especially SCADA modeling.
  • Experience and skills with Alstom Grid/GE Display Builder and Alstom Grid/GE e-terraSource.
  • Preference will be given to candidates experienced with Alstom Grid/GE Advanced Distribution. Management System applications (FLISR, OMS, etc.)
  • Preference will be given to candidates experienced with computer programming/scripting.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with basic electrical system knowledge and Power Systems Engineering knowledge.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members and communicate effectively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% within North America.

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.
Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
