Job description

We are seeking a forward-thinkingSDETto help modernize and lead our test automation strategy. This role will focus on building and maintainingscalable, maintainable, and integrated test automation frameworksacross UI and API layers using modern tools likePlaywright and TypeScript, while also contributing to CI/CD testing integration. The SDET will also play a key role insupporting manual testing effortswithin Agile feature teams—guiding test case design, exploratory testing, and quality validation for areas not yet automated. This position is critical to enablingfeature teams to take ownership of both automated and manual testing, ensuring faster, higher-quality releases. 
 
Hands-on experience withPlaywright(TypeScript preferred) or similar frameworks like Cypress. 
 
Primary Responsibilities: 
·Partner with Agile feature teams to understand user stories, define acceptance criteria, and promote atest-first mindsetthrough collaboration in design and refinement sessions. 
·Build, maintain,and evolve test automation frameworks usingPlaywright (preferred), TypeScript, or other enterprise-approved tools to supportAPI and UI testing. 
·Drive the transition from legacy frameworks (e.g.,Selenium + Java, Postman/Newman) to unified automation aligned with our CI/CD strategy. 
·Collaborate with developers and QA engineers to ensure test cases are executed in CI pipelines and provide fast, actionable feedback. 
·Supcase design, exploratory testing, and validation of complex workflows that are not yet automated. 
·Develop and maintainautomated API tests (REST/SOAP)andend-to-end teststhat validate functional and non-functional requirements. 
·Participate in code reviews and contribute to test architecture decisions to ensurereliability, reusability, and scalabilityof test assets. 
·Write and maintainSQL queriesto validate data integrity and support test data creation strategies. 
·Serve as aquality engineering champion—help guide automation strategy, mentoring peers, and contributing to continuous improvement of QA practices. 
·Ensure traceability between requirements, tests, and defects, and support compliance with enterprise policies (e.g., HIPAA, security, audit readiness).

Preferred Experience: 
·Migration experience fromSelenium + Javaor Postman to modern frameworks.
