Job description

Woodward Tahoe (Boreal and Soda Springs), located in the beautiful Sierra Nevada mountain range, is a year-round world-class action sports facility with a culture that comes straight from our main product: Fun. If this sounds like the kind of place you'd like to work, progress, and play, we'd love to hear from you!

The Snowmaking Manager is responsible for overseeing all snowmaking operations, snow removal efforts, and related mountain support services. This role plays a critical part in ensuring optimal snow conditions, safe access, and efficient base operations throughout the season. Just like every role on Donner Summit, no task is too small-whether it's coordinating large-scale snow production or jumping in to support parking, trash services, or storm response, this position requires a hands-on leader who contributes across all aspects of resort operations regardless of title. If you are adaptable, experienced in mountain operations, and capable of leading teams while producing high-quality results, we want to hear from you.

The Perks:

  • This is a Full-Time Year-Round Position, which includes paid time off, matching 401k, health benefits, and an annual bonus incentive program.

  • Starting pay is $70,304 a year

  • Complimentary access to most POWDR owned resorts (Skiing, Riding, and more!)

  • Full access to our world-class facilities. Work and play in the same innovative environments as professional and Olympic athletes.

  • Friends & family discounts and complimentary passes.

  • Discounts on food, retail, and gear!

  • Enough free time to enjoy the Woodward lifestyle.

Snowmaking Operations & Leadership:

  • Execute and oversee the daily operation and maintenance of snowmaking equipment.

  • Manage and supervise the snowmaking team, including scheduling labor and controlling labor budgets.

  • Maintain nightly documentation of snowmaking production and statistics.

  • Develop and document maintenance plans for all snowmaking infrastructure.

  • Execute and enforce safety plans across all operations.

Mountain Operations Support:

  • Oversee parking lot snow removal operations.

  • Manage trash removal and dump services.

  • Maintain mountain bike park irrigation systems.

  • Support parking and snow removal teams as needed when not actively making snow.

Preferred Skills:

  • Snowmaking experience preferred.

  • Strong understanding of ski area and mountain operations.

  • Proven ability to collaborate across departments and lead teams to achieve operational goals.

  • Strong adaptability and willingness to learn new systems and processes.

You make us Woodward. We are a welcoming community that celebrates individual stories, backgrounds, experiences, and identities where we all have "different" in common. We believe in the strength of representing all voices and having space for everyone. We believe in pushing boundaries and bringing our authentic selves to work while embracing uniqueness, creativity, and different points of view. Even if you don't think you meet all the qualifications listed for a job, we'd love to hear from you.
