Base Pay: $182,000.00 - $254,800.00 / year
JOB SUMMARY
The Dentist will examine, diagnose, and treat diseases, injuries, and malformations of teeth and gums. May treat diseases of nerve, pulp, and other dental tissues affecting oral hygiene and retention of teeth. May fit dental appliances or provide preventive care.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • To relieve dental pain and infection.
  • To provide basic dental services.
  • To maintain quality dental care equal to or greater than the private sector.
  • Motivate the employees of the dental clinic, especially those involved in direct dental service delivery.
  • To provide the dental procedures of prevention and restorative to include:
  • Exam & x-rays
  • Prophylaxis
  • Sealants
  • Scale and rootplane
  • Extractions
  • Alveoloplasty
  • Minor surgery
  • Biopsies
  • Dentures
  • Denture repairs and relines
  • Fillings (composite and amalgam)
  • Stayplates
  • Stayplate and partial denture repairs and relines
  • Cast crowns
  • Stainless crowns
  • Fixed bridges (as center allows)
  • Partial dentures (as center allows)
  • Root canal therapy (as center allows)
  • Other duties or projects as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Knowledge of current dental principles.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Graduate from an accredited American Dental School.
  • DDS or DMD degree.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 4 years' experience as a dentist
  • Dental community clinic setting experience.
