Job description

Turner Home Improvement Contractors is seeking an experienced Lead Gutter Installer/Technician to oversee gutter installations and lead a small crew in the field. This role is ideal for a seasoned installer who takes pride in their work, leads by example, and understands that strong communication, accountability, and teamwork are just as important as technical skill.

As a Lead Gutter Installer, you will be responsible not only for high-quality installations, but also for guiding crew members, maintaining professionalism on job sites, and ensuring work is completed efficiently, safely, and to company standards. This position reports directly to the Project Managers.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of gutter installation experience
  • At least 1 year in a lead or supervisory role
  • Experience operating or working with a seamless gutter machine is required
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to be insured
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage changing priorities and job conditions
  • Customer-focused mindset with a professional, respectful demeanor
  • Ability to work 10-hour days outdoors in all Connecticut seasons
  • Comfortable working at heights and lifting 60 lbs or more
  • Ability to use a smartphone to photograph completed work and document job details
  • Willingness to assist other trades when needed and contribute to overall team success

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee gutter installation projects from start to finish
  • Remove old gutter systems and install new seamless gutters and gutter guards
  • Perform gutter cleanings and minor carpentry repairs as needed
  • Ensure crew members follow proper installation methods and safety practices
  • Train, coach, and support team members in the field
  • Document work progress with photos and notes and report findings to Project Managers
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with Project Managers regarding job progress, issues, or concerns
  • Complete all authorized work efficiently while protecting the customer’s property
  • Deliver exceptional customer service on every job site
  • Maintain a clean, organized work truck and shop area
  • Promote a respectful, professional, and collaborative work environment
