Job description

MCS is hiring for a Security Systems Lead Technician at Vandenberg Air Force Base in California. This is a full-time, permanent position with benefits.
The Security Systems Lead Technician must demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects, products, and vendors. The Security Systems Lead Technician will require good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team setting. It is important that candidates keep abreast of industry trends and developments, as well as applicable Government regulations.
Typical duties include:
  • Designing, configuring, and maintaining card access, security, and camera systems for clients.
  • Conducting site surveys to assess client needs and develop customized security solutions.
  • Collaborating with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure system requirements are met.
  • Performing system integrations, including integrating card access, security, and camera systems with other building systems as necessary.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to card access, security, and camera systems.
  • Providing training and support to end-users on system operation and maintenance.
  • Preparing accurate documentation, including system designs, wiring diagrams, and service reports.
  • Creating and adhering to project timelines and budgets, ensuring projects are completed within the allocated time and resources.
  • Collaborating with other team members to ensure seamless integration of card access, security, and camera systems with other technology solutions offered by MCS.

Experience Requirements:
- Ability to obtain Base Access via background check is required for this assignment.

  • Minimum of [5] years of experience in designing, installing, and maintaining card access, security, and camera systems.
  • Proficiency in industry-leading card access, security, and camera systems, including but not limited to Software House, American Dynamics, Genetec, Avigilon, Brivo.
  • Strong knowledge of industry codes, standards, and best practices related to card access, security, and camera systems.
  • Experience in conducting site surveys and developing comprehensive security solutions based on client needs.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
  • Solid understanding of network infrastructure and protocols related to card access, security, and camera systems.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines.

Physical Requirements

The ability to operate company vehicles safely and responsibly is crucial.
