Gunsmith

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Gunsmith to join our operations team in Buford, GA. In this role, you will apply your technical expertise to diagnose and repair firearms, support quality control, and serve as a technical resource for our customer service team. Whether you are an experienced gunsmith or a recent graduate ready to grow your craft, we are committed to investing in the right person.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate proven and sound knowledge of gunsmithing craft
  • Ensure consistent and quality work product in a timely fashion
  • Effectively diagnose and repair issues; document findings and solutions in RMA logs
  • Assist Customer Service team as a technical consultant for customer communications
  • Maintain a clean and well-organized gunsmithing area
  • Provide backup support to the Customer Service team
  • Safely handle firearms in all phases of operations — warehouse and live-fire
  • Lead or assist in quarterly internal audits; manage firearms inventory in accordance with all state and federal law
  • Assist in tracking and reporting data trends
  • Perform incoming quality control inspections of firearm shipments; effectively document and communicate findings
  • Periodically assist warehouse operations or customer service as priorities dictate
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Highly mechanically inclined with an openness to learning our product line in depth
  • Demonstrated knowledge or experience with Class I firearms highly desirable; recent gunsmithing graduates are encouraged to apply — we are ready and willing to train
  • Experience or background in machining, engraving, manufacturing, CNC operations, or finishing a plus
  • Customer satisfaction orientation
  • Physical capability to perform gunsmithing activities
  • Strong ability to adapt to changes in procedure or policy
  • Ability to protect and maintain confidential information
  • Established work history with references that can confirm dependability
  • Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office; ability to learn our work order management system
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Must be able to legally purchase and possess a handgun (background and drug screening required)
  • Comfortable working in a warehouse environment
  • Located in or willing to relocate to the Buford, GA area — this is an in-person role; relocation is not provided
