Job description

Job Summary

Pallet Services, Inc. is in search of a proactive and results-oriented individual to become a part of our team in Rochester, NY. Experience in forklift operation is a plus. We are seeking a candidate who is mechanically skilled, well-organized, eager to learn new tasks, and exhibits a positive attitude. Most importantly, a strong commitment to safety is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Repair or build wooden pallets
  • Use of hand tools & nail gun
  • Pallet quality control (QC)
  • Meet daily work requirements for assigned tasks.
  • Maintain a clean work area throughout the shift to ensure job safety.
  • Prioritize personal and equipment safety at all times.
  • Conduct pre-startup equipment checks and promptly report any issues to the Maintenance Department or Operations Manager.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in pallet repair or building is highly preferred.
  • Experience in a manufacturing facility or a similar setting is advantageous.
  • Mechanical knowledge is beneficial, particularly the ability to troubleshoot basic equipment problems.
  • Proficiency in safely and effectively using hand tools and power tools is essential.
  • A keen attention to detail and a dedication to delivering high-quality work are important.
  • Openness to learning new skills and adapting to evolving production demands is necessary.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From: $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35-40 per week

Schedule: Monday to Friday 6am-2:30pm
