Job description

Nemean Solutions, headquartered in Sierra Vista, AZ, is a certified SBA 8(a) Native Hawaiian Organization (NHO) and veteran-operated company providing advanced Military Intelligence, Enterprise and Cloud IT services, Cybersecurity, Special Operations Forces (SOF) Exercise and Training, and niche Program Support and Professional Services to Federal and State Agencies supporting the US Government Defense, Intelligence and Aerospace sectors. Please note: This position is contingent upon the award of a contract. Job Overview: The Gunner's Mate / Armorer Support position provides weapons, ordnance, ammunition accountability, and armory support services for Logistics Support Unit One (LOGSU-1). The employee supports the Weapons Officer and Weapons Leading Chief Petty Officer (LCPO) in the day-to-day operation of the armory and ammunition management programs while ensuring compliance with applicable Navy, Department of Defense, and federal regulations.  Support Hours: Applicant shall be available during core work hours as established the Government customer. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: * Assist in the handling, storage, transportation, and shipment of ammunition, rockets, mines, and explosive components. 
* Process and maintain documentation for ammunition receipt, issue, and accountability. 
* Prepare transportation, storage, issuing, and receiving schedules for ammunition and ordnance. 
* Maintain 100% accountability of assigned ammunition and explosive assets. 
* Provide armory support including inventory management, issue, repair, and maintenance activities. 
* Review and analyze ordnance policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. 
* Coordinate hazardous material transportation in accordance with military, DOT, and international regulations. 
* Advise personnel regarding ordnance accountability, safety, forecasting, controls, and movement. 
* Participate in inspections, audits, certifications, and ammunition supply administration programs. 
* Maintain accurate records and documentation supporting operational readiness.  Requirements Minimum Requirements/Education: * High School Diploma or GED. 
* U.S. Citizen with proof of citizenship. 
* Minimum five (5) years of direct Ammunition, Arms, and Explosives (AA&E) experience. 
* Minimum two (2) years of Armorer experience. 
* Working knowledge of Navy Ordnance Information System (OIS). 
* Valid driver's license. 
* Ability to operate government vehicles, forklifts, trucks, and vans. 
* Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. 
Preferred Requirements: * Prior Navy weapons department experience. 
* Knowledge of hazardous material transportation regulations. 
* Experience supporting ordnance accountability and ammunition management programs.  
 Security Requirement:  * Active Secret Clearance
