  • Role and Responsibilities

    Preparation:

    • Utilize computer scan system (Ritetime) to record work

    • Accurately pull parts and components frominventorylocations forbuilding offinished goods.

    • Prepares work to beaccomplishedby studying assembly instructions, and partslists;gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.

    Assemble/Fabricate:

    • Positionsparts and subassemblies by using templates,samplesor QPM.

    • Assembles components by examining connections for correctfit;fastening parts and subassembliesincluding tray hardware attachments.

    • Acknowledge & reportunexpected bottlenecks and/or roadblocks of assigned production tasksto meet specifications and notifysupervisor.

    • Useandmaintaintools ranging from common hand and power tools (such as cordless drills, wrenches,allenwrenches, label gun) tobag sealer, gluegun,vises,pneumatic staple gun,thermoformer, clicker press, T-nut machine,ovenand band sawsand like machinery/tools.
      Apprentice cabinetmaker-level skills-hands-on woodworking, sanding, finishing, and assembly experience. Comfortable working with wood, finishes, adhesives, and shop tools in a production environment.

    Document and regulate:

    • Verifies specifications by measuring / testing completedcomponent.

    • Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock todetermineinventorylevel;anticipatingneeded supplies

    • Accurately record material usageforwork ordersondesignatedpaper work.

    • Perform cycle counts and inventory verifications as needed.

    • Compare colors, shapes, textures, or grades of products or materialstotemplates, or samples to verify conformance to standards.

    • Keepsassignedequipment and tools operational by completing preventative maintenanceand orreplacing tools asrequired.

    • Documentsrecommendedactions by completing production and quality forms.

    Package and store:

    • Properlypackageandlabelcomplete work order.

    • Accurately store product in designatedlocationand record storage locations.

    Miscellaneous:

    • Cross trainsto highertechnical skilllevelas well as coaching and helping new or basic skilled assemblers in training.

    • Comply withall safety policies,practicesand procedures. Report all unsafe activities tosupervisorand/or Human Resources.
