Gun Shops Hiring information

How much do gun shops pay their employees?

Employees at gun shops, such as sales associates or clerks, typically earn between $10 and $15 per hour, with experienced staff or those in supervisory roles earning higher wages. Pay can vary based on location, experience, and whether the position involves handling firearms or customer service. Some positions may also include benefits like employee discounts or flexible schedules.

What qualifications do I need to work at a gun store?

To work at a gun store, candidates typically need a valid firearms license or permit, depending on state or local laws. Prior knowledge of firearm safety, customer service skills, and sometimes a background check are required; some positions may also require completion of firearm safety training courses.

What jobs pay 2000 a day?

These roles often require advanced skills, certifications, and a strong reputation, and they may involve consulting, private security, or high-level training sessions.

Is it hard to get a job with a gun charge?

Having a gun charge can make it more difficult to find employment in roles such as gun shops hiring, as many employers conduct background checks and may have policies against hiring individuals with criminal records. The severity of the charge and time elapsed since conviction can influence hiring prospects, and some positions may require specific background clearances or certifications. Employers in the firearms industry often prioritize legal compliance and may be hesitant to hire individuals with relevant criminal histories.

Job description

Ourisman, Trusted Tradition
Here's to those who think differently. The ones who think that a car dealership's first priority should be the guest. Such a candid idea could only come from Ourisman. Because we're forward thinking, just like the communities we serve. Individuals who won't be constrained by how things "have always been done", but instead strive to do things "how they could be done" and "how they should be done." It is a philosophy we have infused into every fabric of our dealerships, from the bottom up, in every department, and in every Ourisman team member. Changing the way we all think about car buying is just the beginning.
Role Summary
Ourisman Automotive Group is seeking a skilled Body Shop Technician to join our team and perform high-quality repairs on damaged vehicles. The ideal candidate will have expertise in auto body repair, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to restoring vehicles to their pre-accident condition. As a Body Shop Technician, you will work with a range of tools and techniques to repair and refinish vehicle exteriors, ensuring that all repairs meet safety standards and customer expectations.
More about the role
  • Inspect vehicles to assess the extent of damage and determine the appropriate repair methods.
  • Perform repairs on vehicle bodies, including dent removal, panel replacement, frame straightening, and welding.
  • Sand, grind, and prime damaged areas before applying paint or refinishing materials.
  • Apply paint, clear coats, and other finishes to restore vehicles to their original condition, matching paint colors and textures as required.
  • Replace damaged parts such as bumpers, fenders, and doors with new or refurbished components.
  • Use frame straightening equipment to restore the structural integrity of vehicles.
  • Perform repairs following collision damage, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications and safety regulations.
  • Occasionally explain repair processes to customers and provide updates on job status if needed.
  • Accurately document all repairs, parts used, and labor time for each job.

What we look for
  • Proven experience as an auto body technician or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in using auto body repair tools and equipment such as welders, sanders, paint guns, and frame machines.
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle structures, collision repair techniques, and refinishing processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality repairs.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy parts, bend, and work in tight spaces.
  • ASE certification in auto body repair or I-CAR certification is a plus.

Benefits
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Life insurance options
  • Short-term and Long-term disability insurance
  • 401(k) plan with company match
  • Paid time off and holiday leave
  • Opportunities for professional development and growth

We are committed to non-discrimination on any protected basis, such as disability and veteran status, or any other basis covered under applicable law. Should you require accommodation during the interview process, please advise the hiring manager when contacted for an interview.
