Gun sales can occur through licensed firearms dealers, gun shops, sporting goods stores, or at gun shows. Sellers are required by law to follow strict federal and state regulations, including conducting background checks on buyers and maintaining detailed records of each transaction. The process and requirements may vary depending on local laws and the type of firearm being sold.
