We have an immediate need for an Overhaul & Repair Process Mechanic B 2nd Shift (Onsite) 3:12pm – 11:42pm
What You Will Do:
- Plan and perform the work necessary to set-up and operate various manual and automatic part treatment, heat treat, flame spray and coating equipment.
- Perform work on Overhaul & Repair parts where methods and techniques are usually established, and proper tooling and/or fixturing is usually provided.
- Perform braze fab prep, assembly and masking as required to meet unit needs.
- Follow standard practices and operating procedures to perform a variety of striping, cleaning and braze fab operations, utilizing surface treatment equipment such as manual and automatic grit blasters, water jet machines and
- dry baking ovens.
- Set up and operate automatic and manual flame spray, plating, painting and coating equipment for operations on a variety of overhaul & repair parts.
- Set up and operate, load and unload, and monitor heat treat furnaces for braze heat treat, stress relief and sizing operations.
- Perform routine maintenance and servicing of spray units, guns and nozzles, seals, fittings and filters in assigned area; follow specified procedures such as operator’s check list for upkeep to ensure equipment operates properly.
- Assist others responsible for new part process tryout, repair and other specialized assignments within the scope and skill level of this job description.
- Refer difficulties to leader/supervisor.
- May be assigned to carry out tasks, not specifically listed, within the scope and skill level of this job description in support of department objectives and to develop individuals' skills.
- May be required to train for, obtain and maintain licenses, operator permits and certifications within assigned area.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years of plasma coatings experience.
