We are a major international distributor of educational products offering a vast collection of library books, eBooks, digital curriculum-support resources and classroom library materials from today’s top publishers. We work directly with librarians and educators providing onsite presentations with hands-on interaction of our products.

About the Position and Responsibilities:

We are currently seeking a self-starting individual to join our company as a Library Sales Consultant for South Carolina. As part of our team, you will work with existing customers as well as develop and maintain new customers by scheduling and visiting with them to show and sell our products within the assigned sales territory. The position and responsibilities also include, but not limited to:

  • Work with the Regional Sales Manager to implement effective sales strategies to drive sales within the assigned territory
  • Identify prospects, set appointments and make effective qualifying sales calls to expand new business
  • Build and maintain long-lasting relationships with new and existing customers within the assigned sales territory
  • Travel within your territory to meet with and sell to customers
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of our products and services to effectively present to customers
  • Attend local and/or state trade shows

This is an Independent Contractor position.

 

About You:

Must have a strong ability to work and relate to customers in the education and public library industry. This includes but is not limited to Librarians, Curriculum Coordinators, Title I Coordinators, Principals, Reading Program Directors, and Teachers. Other related experiences should also include:

  • Proven sales track record in new account acquisition and retention
  • Exceptional speaking and active listening skills
  • Self-motivated and driven
  • Able to prospect and cold call effectively
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office – Word, Excel)
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
  • College degree preferred
