As a Construction Manager Staff, you will play a critical role in delivering natural gas pipeline, facility, and capital projects. In this senior-level position, you'll lead the construction of critical energy infrastructure projects while shaping construction strategy, driving operational excellence, and mentoring the next generation of construction leaders. You'll partner across functions to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards while helping shape how we build through continuous improvements in quality, performance, and industry practices across Williams Gulf Coast facilities, including brownfield and greenfield environments.
What You'll Do
  • Lead construction execution for Gulf Coast facility projects, setting strategy and ensuring safe, successful delivery from planning through closeout.
  • Oversee contractor performance, including schedules, budgets, and contract alignment, to keep projects on track.
  • Champion safety and environmental compliance, ensuring all work meets regulatory and company requirements.
  • Partner with engineering, procurement, and operations teams to proactively resolve challenges and maintain momentum.
  • Drive construction quality excellence by establishing standards and ensuring compliance with inspection and permitting requirements.
  • Lead construction of liquids handling and processing equipment and related infrastructure within oil and gas environments.
  • Lead project closeout, including documentation, reporting, and capturing lessons learned to improve future execution.
  • Mentor and support team members, sharing expertise to strengthen overall construction capability.

What You'll Bring
  • Required: Bachelor's degree; a minimum of 12 years of construction experience on small to mega projects, including 7+ years supporting large to mega projects.
  • Proven ability to lead construction efforts and influence outcomes in high-stakes environments.
  • Strong knowledge of safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience managing contractors and construction contracts across complex scopes.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and drive alignment across diverse stakeholders.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Nice to Have
  • Experience with pipeline, facility, or process construction projects.
  • Experience supporting both brownfield and greenfield facility work.
  • Background in liquids handling and processing systems (oil & gas).
  • Experience with construction quality programs or inspection processes.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements
Must be willing and able to:
  • Work in extreme temperatures, loud noise environments, and enclosed spaces.
  • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds and participate in team lifting of loads greater than 50 pounds when needed.
  • Stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat for extended periods of time.
  • Work at elevated heights using ladders, scaffolding, man lifts, and similar equipment while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Safely operate and use hand tools.
  • Travel to construction sites and perform field-based work in active industrial environments as required.
