Job Description Ultra Mission Solutions is hiring early-career Software Engineers to join the Mission Software team under the mentorship of one of our Solutions Architects, supporting high-demand programs and mission application development. This is a pipeline role designed to develop the next generation of Solutions Architects.

In this role, you will work directly with a senior Solutions Architect to build up your engineering capabilities, leveraging modern AI tools to force-multiply the team's impact and accelerate delivery for high-demand programs. You will take on progressively challenging work as you develop, with a clear growth path toward a Solutions Architect track.

We are seeking ambitious, innovative, and curious engineers ready to learn fast and contribute quickly.

Preferred locations: Austin, TX, Huntsville, AL, or Remote.

Must be willing to travel up to 25% of the year to support solution engineering in the field, support military exercises, and major integration events.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related STEM discipline (or equivalent experience)
0-3 years of software engineering experience (recent graduates encouraged to apply)
Solid foundation in software development fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, version control)
Curiosity, ambition, and a strong drive to learn
Must be able to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance; active clearance preferred
U.S. Citizenship required

Preferred Qualifications:
Active U.S. Secret or Top Secret security clearance
Exposure to AI/ML tooling and modern development workflows
Familiarity with Python, C++, Go, or similar languages
Interest in edge compute, mission systems, or rugged platforms
Aspiration to grow into a Solutions Architect role
