Responsibilities of a Casual Transport Guard
  • Ensure the protection of individuals, property, and assets within the facility
  • Escort detainees within the premises using restraints as necessary for safety
  • Demonstrate empathy and compassion while working with individuals under stress
  • Observe and monitor detainee behaviour and report concerns
  • Conduct regular foot patrols – both indoors and outdoors
  • Utilize security software and equipment effectively
  • Conduct frequent wellness checks
  • Generate accurate incident and daily reports
  • Respond swiftly to emergency situations using tactical de-escalation techniques
Qualifications for Casual Transport Guard
  • Valid Alberta Security Guard License
  • Valid First Aid Level 1 is required.
  • Must have resided in Canada for the past 5 years- needed for reliability clearances
  • Must be able to drive compnay vehicle for long hours.
  • Have Clean driver's Abstract.
  • Minimum High school diploma or equivalent (proof of education required)
  • Able to pass Public Works Clearance and Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Demonstrated ability to act decisively in high-pressure situations
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
