We are seeking a motivated Physical Securityย Specialistย toย supportย the day-to-day physical security operations of classified open storage areas within an Multiple Facility Office (MFO). The position will assist in maintaining compliance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) under the direction of senior security personnel.ย 

This position demands a proactive and accountable securityย professionalย whoย thrives in a fast-paced, mission-critical, and compliance-focused settingย delivering a gold-standard program.ย 

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:ย 

  • Supportย OSAs,ย safes,ย access control,ย PALs, VARs,ย Comsec,ย andย document control operations.ย 
  • Enforce physical security procedures in alignment with NISPOM, DCSA,ย Traditional Security STIGs,ย and internal policies.ย 
  • Conduct regular security checks, inspections, and audits of OSAs and storage containers.ย 
  • Ensure the proper receipt, accountability, storage, transmission, and destruction of classified material.ย 
  • Maintain operational readiness for DCSA inspectionsย and CORAsย and address corrective actions as required.ย 
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for physical security and document control.ย 
  • Track, manage, and report incidents, deficiencies, and status updates to security leadership.ย 
  • Supportย access control, badge systems, visitorย management, guard response, and IDS, inspections.ย 
  • Support physical securityย incident response and investigation.ย 
  • Supportย guard force operationsย and alarm response compliance.ย 
  • Conductย regularย walk-throughs and checks of classified areas to verify adherence to access control and physical security standards.ย 
  • Assist in maintaining intrusion detection systems (IDS) monitoring logs, access rosters, and visitor control procedures.ย 
  • Help track and organize documentation related to DCSA inspections and self-assessments.ย 
  • Provide logistical and administrative support forย personnel clearances,ย security briefings, trainings, and inspections.ย 
  • Assist with onboarding employees,ย clearance processing, visit requests, access verifications.ย 
  • Maintain security records in accordance with NISPOM requirements.ย 
  • Track and support reporting requirements (foreign travel, foreign contacts, adverse information,ย etc.).ย 
  • Assist with the initiation, tracking, and maintenance of security clearance actions in DISS and other government systems.ย 
  • Supportย End of the Dayย Security Watch program.ย 
  • Support COMSECย program, inventory, records, and duties as needed.ย 
  • Other duties as assigned to uphold a gold standard security program.ย 
Qualifications

Qualifications:ย 

  • U.S. Citizen with an active DoDย Topย Secret clearanceย 
  • 5+ย years of experience inย securityย andย managingย secureย facilitiesย ย 
  • Familiarity with NISPOM requirements and classified material handling proceduresย 
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to follow established procedures
  • Familiarย withย SIMS, CCURE,ย DISS,ย and other security related systems
