Job description

At WHOOP, we're on a mission to unlock human performance and healthspan. WHOOP empowers members to perform at a higher level through a deeper understanding of their bodies and daily lives.

WHOOP is hiring a Director of Materials Program Management to lead our MPM function across Boston, Mexico, and APAC. This role is critical in ensuring end-to-end material readiness from new product introduction through mass production and sustaining operations. As a central leader within Global Operations, you will drive alignment across demand, supply, and execution-partnering closely with Engineering, Procurement (GSM), and Manufacturing to deliver scalable, reliable, and high-quality product outcomes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead and scale the global MPM organization, establishing clear ownership, operating rigor, and accountability for material readiness across regions

  • Own end-to-end material planning and execution from NPI through sustaining production, ensuring alignment to demand signals and build plans

  • Partner with Global Operations to translate the Master Production Schedule into actionable material requirements and execution strategies

  • Drive cross-functional alignment across GSM, Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing to ensure timely material availability and rapid issue resolution

  • Identify and communicate material risks, leading structured mitigation efforts across stakeholders to protect build schedules and product launches

  • Build and implement scalable systems, tools, and processes to improve material visibility, forecasting accuracy, and execution discipline

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 12+ years of experience in supply chain, materials management, or program management, ideally within consumer electronics or high-growth hardware environments

  • Proven experience leading global, cross-functional teams in complex, fast-paced environments

  • Deep expertise in material planning, supply-demand alignment, and production readiness across NPI, ramp, and sustaining phases

  • Demonstrated ability to drive outcomes through influence in highly matrixed organizations, particularly in partnership with Procurement and Engineering

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience building scalable processes and operational frameworks

  • Experience working with contract manufacturers and global supply chains, including APAC and Mexico

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to align diverse stakeholders around shared goals

  • Willingness to travel internationally to support business needs

  • Strong commitment to embracing and leveraging AI tools in day-to-day tasks, ensuring AI-assisted work aligns with the same high-quality standards as personal contributions

At WHOOP, we view total compensation as the combination of base salary, equity, and benefits, with equity serving as a key differentiator that aligns our employees with the long-term success of the company and allows every member of our corporate team to own part of WHOOP and share in the company's long-term growth and success.

The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $195,000 -  $225,000. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within each range, individual pay is based on factors such as job-related skills, experience, performance, and relevant education or training.

In addition to the base salary, the successful candidate will also receive benefits and a generous equity package.

These ranges may be modified in the future to reflect evolving market conditions and organizational needs. While most offers will typically fall toward the starting point of the range, total compensation will depend on the candidate's specific qualifications, expertise, and alignment with the role's requirements.
